A heretical solo performance by acclaimed fashion designer/contemporary artist Chelsea Hickman confronting her complicity in the troubling practices of the fashion industry.

A lone artist takes to the stage, announcing, tonight is the final night. A sense of foreboding is in the air, she feels destructive, smoke is coming in from somewhere, tonnes of garment waste overflow the stage- her employer doesn’t know she’s here. Apocalyptic. Everything’s going to hell. Yeah, this is the time to debut the A/W collection. You, our heroine says, are damned, but maybe you should try it on. Then she’s naked, blood red, eyes solid black – the image of an archetypal demon – might be a warning. When she steps into the audience – determined to deliver a sacrifice – the performance gets dangerous.
