
The MOD. Youth Board is a program for young people who are interested in testing, prototyping, and co-designing exciting new museum concepts, exhibitions, events, and experiences.
Youth Board members participate in professional development with the exhibition team, with behind-the-scenes access to upcoming exhibitions and programs. They are involved in working alongside artists and researchers and directly contributing to MOD.’s exhibition.
Our Youth Board contribute to shaping the activities of one of the most unique museums in Australia while gaining skills and meeting a new network of likeminded peers and professionals.

How to Join Our Youth Board
Our Youth Board opens for applications annually from late November until mid February.
Youth Board Inclusions
– $400 honorarium paid to each Youth Board Member
– Attend monthly meeting to provide your insights, ideas and feedback on the next year’s exhibition
– Participate in planning annual Youth Board event
– Contribute to shaping the activities of one of the most unique museums in Australia
– Gain skills and build your resume
– Meet a new network of likeminded peers and professionals
Eligibility
– You are between 15 and 25 years of age
– You are interested in science, art, technology, design, exhibitions, or events
– You have not been a MOD. Youth Board member previously
Commitment Required
– Meetings run on Tuesdays monthly, 4:30pm – 6:30pm from March to November.
– All Youth Board Members are expected to attend most meetings
– Participate in meeting discussions
– Participate in planning annual Youth Board event

Please send a 1-page cover letter, detailing why you are interested in joining the MOD. Youth Board and an answer to the following question:
